Victor Frankenstein
Strange, Melancholic, who since the death of his mother is interested in natural philosophy, death and how to create life. Created a monster.
Creator of the monster. Victor becomes obsessed with the idea of creating the human form and acts upon it.

Monster
It is creature created by Victor Frankenstein at the University of Ingolstadt. Shaped into a horrible, gigantic creature, the monster faces rejection and fear from his creator and society.
Also, is curious, attentive to what is happening around him, quick to learn and understand the situations of others.

Elizabeth Lavenza
Blonde, orphaned daughter adopted by Caroline. Taken in by the Frankenstein family and raised lovingly with Victor.
Victor's fiancée. Elizabeth is presented as a woman of angelic kindness and incomparable beauty: she represents the ideal woman, and the promise of love and comfort that comes with it.

Robert Walton
Arctic explorer on his way to find a northwest passage across the Arctic Ocean from Russia to the Pacific Ocean, sophisticated and lonely, romantic.
Hungry for the sleigh.

Margaret Saville
Robert's sister, who receives the letters. Robert writes to her detailing the events of the trip and Victor's story.

Henry Clerval
Friend of Victor, who takes care of Victor.

Justine Moritz
The housekeeper and friend of the Frankenstein family. Who is executed because the people believed she killed Victor's brother.

William Frankestein
Victor's younger brother who is killed by the creature. He was yet an infant, and the most beautiful little fellow in the world; his lively blue eyes, dimpled cheeks, and endearing manners, inspired the tenderest affection.

Professor of Natural Philosophy.

Victor's parents.
Alfonse suffers from an illness probably caused by his advanced age.
Caroline dies of scarlet fever when Victor is a teenager. She was heavily involved in charity work.Victor's parents.

De Lacey's family
De Lacey
Head of the house, watched by the creature, De Lacey has had his kindness. His blindness makes him able to recognize the creature's sincerity and kindness despite its hideous appearance.
Felix
DeLacey's son. It is dedicated to his family and his lover, Safie. Although he is noble, he throws the creature out of the house with stones. Thus symbolizes one of the basic defects in human character: hatred of difference.
Agatha
DeLacey's daughter. She is an example of a generous woman: she takes care of her brother and her father despite her poverty and her own grief.
Safie
Felix's fiancée. She is presented as an exotic beauty, and is racially fetishized for her Turkish origin. The De Lacey family wants to marry her off to Felix and convert her to Christianity.
